Vascular surgery congress with a national scope, held once a year as the Jahrestagung of a German specialist society and running over several days.
The 42nd annual congress of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gefäßchirurgie und Gefäßmedizin takes place at Kap Europa, the congress house on the Messe Frankfurt grounds, placing Germany's national vascular surgery meeting in the centre of Frankfurt am Main. Clinicians looking for a vascular surgery congress in Germany, or an endovascular therapy and vascular medicine conference in Frankfurt, will find a programme delivered largely in German while accepting English-language abstracts.
The DGG is the German specialist society for operative, endovascular and preventive vascular medicine, and its Jahrestagung is where national registry work, guideline discussion and technique-focused sessions come together each year. Abstract submission for the scientific programme closed on 30 June 2026, with an earlier deadline of 31 May 2026 for the accompanying nursing professionals' conference; the society states that no extension of the deadline is granted. Registration opened in February 2026 and runs through the congress registration portal linked from the official site, with reduced rates for society members, physicians in training, students and nursing staff. Certification for continuing education points has been applied for with the Landesärztekammer Hessen, with the nursing registration body and with ICW e.V., but no credit figure is published. Frankfurt am Main is among the easiest German cities for international delegates to reach, with Frankfurt Airport linked to the city centre and the Messe district by a short rail journey.
