National scientific congress on allergology and immunology, prepared jointly by several allergology societies rather than run as a trade fair.
The 21st Deutscher Allergiekongress is the joint annual allergy congress of three German societies: AeDA, DGAKI (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Allergologie und Klinische Immunologie) and GPA. It is held at the RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden under the motto Innovation trifft Evidenz, with Ludger Klimek and Sven Becker as congress presidents. The scientific programme is developed by a joint programme commission of the three societies, which also reviews the submitted abstracts, and the congress states that the content of the scientific programme, industry symposia excluded, is designed to be product and service neutral, with speakers disclosing potential conflicts of interest. The registration categories show who the congress is built for: members of AeDA, DGAKI and GPA, non-member physicians, abstract submitters, nursing staff, medical assistants and nutrition specialists, and students, who attend free of charge.
