The Semana Brasileira do Aparelho Digestivo is the joint congress of FBG, SOBED and CBCD, the Brazilian federation of gastroenterology, society of digestive endoscopy and college of digestive surgery. It covers diseases of the digestive system, with gastroenterology as its specialty. The congress is annual: the 24th SBAD met in 2025, and the 25th follows in Fortaleza. Doctors from all regions of Brazil attend, along with some from abroad, at this national meeting. The XXIV edition in Sao Paulo brought together more than five thousand specialists, according to an organizer press release.
