The Bundeskongress Chirurgie is the congress of the Berufsverband der niedergelassenen Chirurgen e.V. (BNC), the German association of office-based surgeons, organized with MCN Medizinische Congressorganisation Nuernberg GmbH. Its programme spans general and trauma surgery, foot and hand surgery, proctology and paediatric surgery. More than 20 German surgical societies support the federal congress, which has been running for more than 30 years. It takes place once a year in Nuremberg, Germany. An industry exhibition accompanies the scientific sessions, although the event is not a trade fair.
