The Austrian Society of Surgical Oncology (ACO-ASSO) aims to unify the surgical oncological community in matters related to research and treatment of malignant disease, to improve knowledge and surgical oncological treatment in this country, to provide evidence based treatment standards, to organise nationwide trials and to participate in international trials and to further surgical oncology as a subspeciality within general surgery
