Scientific meeting of a European panel on pressure ulcer prevention and treatment, held for professionals in wound care.
The European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel was established in London in December 1996 to support European countries in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, and its business office now sits in Prague. The organisation works across four strategic areas: research into prevention and treatment, raising awareness of the importance of pressure ulcers, shaping pressure ulcer policy in European countries, and advancing adequate patient-centred and cost-effective care. Its annual meeting is the European forum where that evidence base is presented and debated, and it connects to the international pressure ulcer guidelines EPUAP develops with partner organisations.
EPUAP 2026 is hosted in Dublin in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Wound Management Association of Ireland, which brings the Irish tissue viability community into the scientific programme. The Royal Dublin Society in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, hosts the four parallel sessions, the seven hands-on workshops and the accompanying exhibition. Clinicians looking for a wound care congress in Ireland or a pressure ulcer conference in Europe will find a mix of invited expert sessions, free papers and practical workshops rather than a lecture-only format.
The meeting is run in compliance with the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice and the EFPIA Code of Practice, which governs how industry sponsors take part alongside the scientific programme. Registration is tiered for EPUAP members, non-members and students, with the member rate also extended to members of the Wound Management Association of Ireland, the Tissue Viability Nurses Association of Ireland and the Tissue Viability Nurse Network Northern Ireland. One-day passes are offered for clinicians who can attend only part of the meeting, and a separate exhibitor rate covers industry staff working the exhibition area.
