Annual scientific meeting of the European Society of Coloproctology, a continental surgery congress for colorectal surgeons and their teams.

ESCP 2026 is the 21st Scientific Meeting of the European Society of Coloproctology and brings the society's annual congress to Prague, with the Prague Congress Centre directly above Vysehrad metro station as the venue. Surgeons searching for a coloproctology congress in the Czech Republic, or for a European colorectal surgery conference in 2026, will find a programme organised around the society's three research streams: colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and pelvic floor and perianal disease.

ESCP is a registered Scottish company with its secretariat in Edinburgh and draws its membership from colorectal units across Europe and further afield. Its meeting gives formal programme space to collaborative work: international research collaborations, cohort studies and audits have their own sessions, and a joint symposium with the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation covers the surgical and medical overlap in IBD. Free paper sessions and "The Six Best" selections carry the accepted abstracts, and a surgical video session runs alongside them.

The pre-conference day offers hands-on and examination-oriented courses, including the 16th Anorectal and Pelvic Floor Ultrasound Workshop, an anal fistula course, a watch-and-wait course, OASIS management, an ESCP/ESGAR radiology course, EBSQ preparation and a training village. Abstract submission for the Prague meeting closed in April 2026, with a short late-breaking window for major randomised controlled trials, and decision letters were issued in June 2026.

Registration is offered for face-to-face and virtual participation at member, non-member, reduced-country and trainee or nurse rates, with early, regular and onsite pricing tiers; full face-to-face registration in the early and regular periods includes a Prague public transport pass for the conference days. ESCP states that it will apply for EACCME CME credits for the meeting.
